Highlights

Environmental Sustainable
Design concepts

The building façades were purposely designed in a lightweight thermally efficient system, and developed to minimise the use of scaffolds whilst maintaining a safe work environment, and without compromising the speed of construction that is desirable in repetitive construction projects.

A key feature of the design was the incorporation of Environmentally Sustainable Design concepts, with emphasis placed upon the thermal performance of facades, careful consideration of ratio of glass to solid façades, the incorporation of hydronic heating and the elimination of the need for air conditioning.

Outcome

Significant time
savings

The modular nature of the design and high repetition of the panel forms, allowed significant time savings on the structures’ programme, providing the effective cost benefit of the precast solution.
