Overview

Creating a versatile
teaching facility

The project entailed the complete strip out and partial structural demolition of a two storey laboratory building including the existing timber truss roof in and around 12 existing chimneys, on the existing UWS Campus at Campbelltown. The refurbished facility has PC 1 and PC 2 laboratories. The services component of the refurbishment was extensive with new mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, communications and medical gases services made to fit the existing structure – a challenging task to coordinate. A new lift was built into an existing stairwell.
